Why do tender portals need an encryption certificate?
Your bid is encrypted so competitors and even the portal cannot read it before the technical-bid opening. The encryption certificate is what locks and unlocks your bid.
Can I add encryption to my existing signing DSC later?
An encryption certificate can be issued separately, but buying the combo up front is cheaper than two separate purchases.
